Volunteering

A great opportunity to do a few more things in dragonboating that just paddle. For example, you could to be a drummer in a race (which most of us don't get to do at club level) or work at the finishing line, watching all the photo finishes and recording who won!

Volunteering increases SDB's stature in the dragonboating community too - we're a club who aim to give back to the sport. Volunteering usually involves working with boat-loads of newbies and helping them have fun.

Volunteers also bring in revenue for the club (which the club uses for the benefit of all paddlers, such as equipment replacement and the odd snag at the bbq).
